Located in the hills above Pitlochry in Perthshire, Dalnagarn Farm steading features a large barn and a number of smaller storage buildings, arranged in a classic horseshoe around a sizeable courtyard.
Formally part of a working farm, the buildings had fallen into disuse, save for a section now home to Badvo Distillery, which has been operating on the site since 2018. To bring the other buildings back to life, the decision was taken to convert them into a wedding venue, with dedicated areas for reception, catering, dancing and ceremony. Large sections of dilapidated roof were replaced and areas of stonework were consolidated to sure up the properties. Access to the site was improved and parking added to account for it’s rural setting. To the rear, a new, integrated, toilet block is to be added, which will match the roofing of the farm buildings and be clad in larch to marry into the surroundings, while marking itself as a contempt addition.
With the backdrop of Ben Skievie, Gurlet and numerous other mountains, the site makes for an impressive venue and can be booked at weddingsonthewildside.co.uk
